Feel free to share some thoughts about environmental issues, and mention what you do to preserve our planet.

Today, I mowed my lawn and used the grass for fertilizer, and I went to Home depot and got some free energy-efficient bulbs...Better go take our the recycling...

Have a good Earth Day everyone!!!

Yay Earth Day! I recycle my butt off, let me tell you. I was in the Environmental Club in high school and we presented a new recycling plan to the entire faculty of our school, since we had virtually no program for it before that. While I'm here at school, I recycle every scrap of paper and every bottle I can find, and I did cart away recyclables that everyone else just threw out at my summer job last year. I guess I'm a little bit of a recycling fanatic. Lets see, what else? Next school year I'm planning on only taking the bus or riding my bike to school, so that cuts down on all of the ickyness my car would be producing. I live on campus now, so I walk or ride- I hardly ever drive. I guess that's pretty much it for me for now... Happy Earth Day!

Although this comes a couple of days late...

Been feeling guilty about buying spring water in plastic bottles. Seeing as how this particular company uses 30% plastic now, it doesn't really comfort. It only emphasizes how much plastic we generate.

We are using more and more of the heli-flourescent bulbs since they use way less electric and are supposed to last 10 times as long. The price is about 4-7 times more on average... but the light is easier on the eyes.

Oh, we took a lot of those durn plastic bags back to Wal-Mart too!

Not to mention transportation. This water is carried in trucks, possibly also in ships. It burns more petrol...

What's wrong with tap water anyway?
