More info here.I can't wait for May 15th...
Please post here any additional info you can find about the album.
The album's first single,
What I've done, has been released a few days ago. A short clip can be found here and there over the 'Net. That sounds pretty promising.
Edit: The clip in question.
Hey yeah, I got the whole album off of torrent. It is excellent. Clearly its an evolution from the bands previous sound, which needed to happen.
Album Notes:
"Minutes to Midnight is the result of more than a year of studio time, dozens of songs put to tape, and an intense amount of expectation from an audience who hasn't lost faith in the group in the four years since its last studio album. Frontman Chester Bennington has gone on record about the new album saying that the band ditched the nu-metal sound that was plastered all over its first two releases. In its place is a more direct punk and hip-hop influence with a touch of classic rock"
And if you not into sharing music, the single "What I've done" is available for purchase on itunes. (99 cents)
Ok, for anyone else who has heard the new single, does anyone think the opening sounds like the music from the "halloween" movies with jamie lee curtis? I swear it does!
I must admit, Minutes to Midnight is a disappointment. Not as bad as some people say, but it's just... not as fun as Hybrid Theory or Meteora. It gets boring about midway through it. And Mike doesn't rap enough.
But the song Bleed It Out is really worth listening.
